Linzer Heart Biscuits with the Thermomix®

- 340 g flour
- 130 g butter cut into pieces
- 90 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- redcurrant jelly
- icing sugar

Dough.
Add all the ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix for 25 seconds / speed 6. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Oven.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.4 cm thickness and cut out hearts.

Cutting out the biscuits.
Cut a small round hole in the centre of half the hearts (for example using an apple corer or a small round cutter) and bake for approximately 8 to 10 minutes until pale golden. Leave the biscuits to cool on a wire rack.

Assembling.
Spread redcurrant jelly over the whole biscuits. Dust icing sugar over the biscuits with holes. Finally, place the dusted halves on top and leave to set.
