Fresh cherries, watermelon, lime and mint make this fruit slush for 4 servings. The measured recipe uses 200 g cherries, 300 g watermelon flesh, 100 g cherry juice and 600 g ice cubes, plus 60 g brown cane sugar. Allow about 20 minutes, including washing and preparing the fruit.

Prepare the fruit
Wash the cherries and remove every stone before putting them into the mixing bowl. Pick the leaves from 1 sprig of mint. Use the measured watermelon flesh, with the rind removed, and squeeze the lime for its juice.
Grind the sugar first
Put the 60 g brown cane sugar into the mixing bowl and grind for 4 seconds at speed 10. Add the mint leaves and prepared cherries. The sugar is ground before the cold fruit and ice are added.
Add the juice and ice
Add the lime juice, watermelon flesh, cherry juice and 600 g ice cubes. Blend for 15 seconds at speed 6. This is the fresh-fruit-and-ice version in the recipe card. Keep those measured ingredients together when making the base recipe.
Serve while it is icy
Divide between glasses and serve immediately. Extra mint is an optional garnish from the recipe notes. The icy texture changes as it stands, so prepare the slush when you are ready to serve it.
