Ingredients 0 / 8 ✓

  • 4 piece chicken breasts approx. 180 g each
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ piece lemon juice only

Instructions 0 / 5

  1. 1

Blend the marinade in the Thermomix®.

Add olive oil, garlic cloves, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper and lemon juice to the mixing bowl. Blend for 15 sec / speed 4 until you have a smooth paste.

  2. 2

    Marinate the chicken breasts.

Place the chicken breasts in a freezer bag, add the marinade, seal well and massage thoroughly. Leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or overnight if possible.

  3. 3

    Preheat the air fryer.

Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and shake off any excess.

  4. 4

    Cook and turn.

Place the chicken breasts in the basket. Cook for 15 to 18 minutes at 180 °C, turning once after 8 minutes. The internal temperature should reach 75 °C.

  5. 5

    Rest and serve.

Leave to rest for 3 minutes before slicing so the juices can redistribute.

How to get perfect chicken breast in the air fryer

The Thermomix® blends the marinade into a smooth, even paste in just 15 sec / speed 4. The chicken then marinates for at least 30 minutes before going into the air fryer at 180 °C for 15 to 18 minutes. Turn it halfway through so both sides colour evenly.

Our tips

  • Try to use chicken breasts that are roughly the same thickness. If one is noticeably thicker than the others, press it gently with the palm of your hand or make a shallow cut at the thickest end.
  • A meat thermometer is worth its weight in gold here: at 75 °C internal temperature the chicken is cooked through but still juicy. Cooking it longer will dry it out.
  • Leftovers taste just as good served cold and sliced over salad. Keeps for up to 3 days in the fridge.
