Make about 1 litre of iced coffee with 220 g cooled espresso, 200 g ice cubes, 450 g cold milk, 100 g cold cream and 70 g brown sugar. The Thermomix® preparation takes about 5 minutes, once the coffee is brewed and cooled.

Prepare and cool the coffee
Use espresso or strong brewed coffee and let it cool before adding it to the mixing bowl. Keep the milk and cream cold too. Brewing and cooling the coffee happen before the blending steps in the card.
Grind, crush and blend
First grind the 70 g brown sugar for 10 seconds at speed 10. Add the cooled espresso and 200 g ice cubes, then crush for 7 seconds at speed 5. The milk and cream go in last: blend them into the mixture for 10 seconds at speed 8.
This method blends the ice into the drink. The photographs show serving ideas with visible ice cubes; follow the recipe card for the blended version.

Optional coffee cubes and ice cream
For a coffee-cube variation, freeze cooled espresso or brewed coffee in an ice-cube tray ahead of time, then use coffee cubes in place of the water ice cubes. The notes also suggest a scoop of milk-based ice cream when serving. Both are variations on the measured base recipe.
Serve straight away
Pour into glasses and serve immediately so the drink stays cold and the ice does not melt further. The yield is about 1 litre for sharing; it is not a single-glass serving. Serve with Thermomix® waffles if you like.
